DefinitionDisinformation disseminated by an organization to pretend they have a environmentally responsible public image, while they can be useful, these sorts of standards are sometimes used quite cynically as corporate greenwash.

• Its just pure lies to make money off the customer, in the modern age Eco friendly products are in high demand so anything that claims to be Eco friendly is a big sell. Sometimes the use of it is pointless because it common sense for something to not be Eco friendly. The companies that Greenwash and are found out make customers lose trust and this can lead to real Eco friendly products not being sold.

Greenwash is basically lying to customers, companies give them selves off as being environmentally friendly but in actual fact they are very harmful to the environment. The companies spend millions to advertise themselves as green and re brand themselves as an Eco friendly company. Some Greenwash is extremely obvious, a power company that uses coal and other nonrenewable resources are obviously not Eco friendly, but company's will try to smear that but using advertising companies saying that they are Eco friendly.
